Analysis: Reich said earlier in the week that he wasn't expecting Wentz to be active for Sunday's game after spraining both ankles in the team's Week 2 loss to the Rams. Though Tennessee's defense has been brutal over the first two weeks, Wentz would still be a risky fantasy call due to the chance of further injury.

Analysis: Wentz's status for Week 1 had been in question after he underwent surgery on his left foot a month ago, plus he missed some camp time for protocol reasons because he's not vaccinated for COVID-19. The former Eagle is looking for a bounce-back year with his new team after throwing a career-high 15 interceptions in 12 starts last season.

He was to have surgery Monday to remove a piece of bone, Colts coach Frank Reich said. Doctors determined Wentz had broken the foot years ago, probably in high school. Part of the bone came loose during practice last Thursday.
Analysis: For now, Indianapolis plans to use Jacob Eason as the starter. Eason was a fourth-round draft pick in 2020 and has not appeared in an NFL game - regular season or preseason. The Colts also signed veteran quarterback Brett Hundley on Saturday.
